ÿþThis post is for the thirtysomethings and air jordan 1 mid multicolor maybe even fortysomethings out there. This is for the '90s kids who got their sneaker info monthly not daily from SLAM! and basketball message boards during the dial-up days. This is for the those of us who got a sense of pride whenever we saw those guys I mentioned above rock the same kicks that we did. This is for the sneakerheads who remember when it was called "Brand Jordan" and bought the Jumpman Pros or Quicks or Strongs because they were your gateway into actually owning a pair of kicks with the illustrious Jumpman logo. And if you had this reaction when you found out the Jordan Team 1s were coming back air jordan 29 for the first time in forever, this is for you.
The Jordan Team 1 was like the entry-level sneaker to have. It didn't matter that they were not the canon Air Jordan because their design was impeccable and the technology was on air jordan 2 retro par with many of the best sneakers at the time. The "Team" concept actually meant something during those days because it didn't feel like a free-for-all like it does now where anybody and everybody can wear what they want if they're a Jordan Brand athlete or just a dude with a nice collection like Monta Ellis or Nate Robinson. There was a rhyme and reason to Eddie and the group wearing the Team 1s.

Jordan Brand should make more colorways and special editions of the Future, but spread them out over the course of a few years instead of a few months. If they're meant to be casual kicks that everybody can own, just make more of each pair, but make each release count. Jordan Brand had the winning recipe when they made the Future and they still have a chance to save it by not letting it become the cronuts of the sneaker world.
Let's be honest with ourselves here, the PSNY x Air Jordan 1 collab from earlier this year sucked. If it wasn't for the Public School co-sign, it would have languished in stores alongside other Lab kicks and less hyped 1s like air jordan 1 gatorade the Cyber Monday. The Air Jordan 12 is the total opposite of that. Inspired, high quality and worth the premium price.
The Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard , the OVO x Air Jordan 10, the PSNY x Air Jordan 12, the Just Don x Air Jordan 2, the Supreme x Air Jordan 5. All these releases will have the hypebeasts and resellers crawling out of the woodworks looking to get a piece of the pie.
